Furthermore, the long feeding hopper enables high throughput rates and facilitates the charging – even with bulky shredded material.

Modern Exhaust Gas System
The AK 640 SA is provided with an efficient exhaust gas system, which complies with the latest E5 emission standard thus meeting all the current environmental requirements. With an integrated AGN box and a heated Adblue system, achieves a high engine performance at maximum exhaust gas treatment. The integral insulation reduces the surface temperature and thus the fire risk, especially in very dusty conditions. All the components are made of stainless steel and ensure maximum corrosion protection.

In connection with the well-proven Doppstadt Eco Mode, which is used in the AK 640 SA, the exhaust gas system achieves very high efficiency. Among others, this smart system makes sure that the engine performance will be reduced in case of low-load operation of the rotor. This does not only save fuel, but it also supports the exhaust gas treatment for better protection of the environment.

Well-Designed Machine Construction and Easy Maintenance
The AK 640 SA machine is equipped with a long drive belt, which ensures a continuous power transmission. By means of the hydraulic belt tensioner, it is always ideally tensioned. Thanks to the attenuating effect the lifetime of the entire machine is extended substantially. The turbo coupling also plays a role here in protecting the engine efficiently.

Another essential element is the easy maintenance of the AK and the comprehensive range of services. The design of the fine grinder permits optimum access to the shredding chamber thus making daily maintenance on the rotor convenient and simple. The flail tips can be changed just as easily.

Smart Controller
Apart from the well-designed exhaust gas and hydraulic system our AK 640 SA possesses some more features such as the smart remote control, which ensures maximum safety of access to the machine. You can control the AK easily or adjust the material infeed speed by means of the control display panel without having to start the engine.

The standard remote control takes over the control of all the relevant functions of the fine grinder. Another technical highlight is the automatic mode. It enables you to start up or shut down the AK’s everyday functions systematically one by one at just one push of a button.
