Rototilt expands bucket range with sorting buckets

The sorting bucket is the latest addition to Rototilt’s bucket family and fully compatible with Rototilt’s tiltrotators, machine couplers and control systems. Rototilt sorting buckets are designed for easy and efficient material sorting, available for machine weights from 12 to 25 tonnes.

“Our sorting buckets are perfect for use together with the unique pulse function offered by our tiltrotators. Complementing our existing bucket range with these new buckets is a strategic step to broaden our tool range,” said Kenneth Aslaksen, Product Manager Tools at Rototilt.

The new design features strategically positioned wear zones made from special steel with a hardness of 500 Brinell, while curved areas are strengthened with 450 Brinell steel. Overall, this increases bucket durability by an incredible 30% compared to other premium buckets. Moreover, our buckets are among the lightest on the market, saving fuel and thereby the environment.

The new sorting buckets – just like their siblings in Rototilt’s new bucket family – are also equipped with reinforcements that strengthen the bucket roof and transfer the stress to an area that can be repaired more quickly and easily should any cracks appear. This minimizes both the actual repairs and any downtime.

“Everyone knows that the bucket roof is the Achilles heel. If the outer edge of the cutting edge gets caught up extremely high torque is generated in the bucket, which can cause cracking on the joints to the mounting bracket. However, we’ve managed to eliminate this problem with our new design,” Aslaksen explained.
