New Scania Stage V engines for Perlini rigid dumpers

Perlini adopts the new Scania engines that comply with the Stage V emissions directive. Scania’s industrial engines for emission level EU Stage V are based on a robust design for superior operating economy and reliability.

Scania’s engines are equipped with an extra high-pressure fuel injection system based on common rail technology, and a turbocharger optimized for operation in combination with the exhaust gas aftertreatment system. Together with Scania’s Engine Management System, the result is an engine that fulfills the strictest exhaust emission requirements with low fuel consumption and high torque.

With their modular design, the engines offer easy access to daily checks and service for the operator. The engine’s electronic management remains in communication with the parent company which can then diagnose any errors facilitating repair and reducing downtime.

The new electronic transmission control allows the operator to access the transmission data in a more convenient and intuitive way. The selector display provides information on the transmission, allows to recognize of eventual alarms and their codes, and also integrates some diagnostic tools.

The systems available on the new Perlini trucks make it possible to monitor vehicles and loads at all times. In addition to the GPS system that collects the various vehicle data shown in the table, the truck is equipped with a VEI onboard weighing system. The forefront technology allows you to:
– Manage and Control the production.
– Reduce truck wear on tires, transmission, engine & bodywork.
– Production monitoring in real-time on your tablet, smartphone, or PC by VEI ipotweb software.
– Know beforehand the transported cost per ton.
– Track loading efficiency.
– Reduce fuel consumption by preventing overload.
– Worldwide technical support by trained personnel (Worldwide factory trained support backup).
– Both systems comply with the Italian law directives relating to the “National Industry 4.0 Plan“.

The beginning of 2020 saw the definitive rebirth of Perlini, presently “Perlini Dumpers”, by Cangialeoni Group based Forlì, which acquired the ownership of the company in 2018 and is currently engaged in the project to bring this well-known brand back to the elite group of rigid dump trucks’ manufacturers.

The new course has led the company to move from a total internal production of all components to a partnership with a group of twenty-three suppliers in the surrounding area and to the development of a new truck with outstanding innovative features, which aims to respond to the most advanced customer needs.

Perlini Dumpers will continue to produce at the historic Perlini factory plant in Gambellara (Vicenza), where dump trucks of considerable size and performances used for the transport of large loads have always been built over the years. The current dump truck range consists of three models, 40 -65 and 95 metric tons of loading capacity and powered by two types of engines: for European users and for users in countries outside the Union.
