Meiller unveils its latest products on the digital platform

The situation with regard to the Coronavirus and COVID‑19 pandemic has unfortunately led to the cancellation of this year’s IFAT and, alternatively, the initiation of the very first IFAT impact Business Summit. The goal of this online event is to offer the international environmental sector an exchange platform from 8 – 10 September 2020. Meiller will also take advantage of this to present its newest product portfolio during the event, including the RS21 hooklift, the AK16 skip handler, the Type 9 three-way tipper and the innovative new i.s.a.r.-control 3 remote system.

With its innovative features, the Meiller RS21 hooklift represents a major leap forward in technology. Fastest in its class, it offers a greater payload and sets new standards in terms of safety. The roll-off unit impresses with a lifting force of 21 tonnes, a weight saving of up to 200 kg and a lower construction height of 20 mm. In addition to the payload benefit, these advantages also reduce fuel consumption and increase the available load capacity. The high-speed valve accelerates raising of the container and lowering following tipping. The system is always in operation, fully automated and functions load-dependent, thus preventing any kind of operating errors. With a particularly flat subframe, the RS21 lies low on the chassis, enabling problem-free loading of high containers for 100 cubic metre transports without exceeding statutory restrictions. The superstructure is optionally available as a TS model, with a pivoting telescopic hook arm for an even greater range of applications.

The AK16 skip handler has made its mark as a reliable partner in the construction and waste disposal industry. With a lifting capacity of 18 tons and a design suitable for vehicles of up to 33 tons, the superstructure exhibited is not only visually impressive. The AK16 is the more powerful version of the Meiller AK12 skip handler which was a comprehensive success in a major comparison test of skip handlers conducted in the “VerkehrsRundschau” trade journal, impressing the jury in every discipline and emerging as the clear winner. In terms of safety, the AK16 offers a variety of options, with the skip clamping system and container locks securing skips in every direction and fully automatically. Not only the skip, but the load transported in it must be secured in line with regulations. Meiller has another trump up its sleeve in this respect with the option of a fully automatic tarpaulin system. This enables safe and convenient working without any potential risks for the driver when securing the load. In addition to facilitating work considerably for the operator, the tarpaulin system ensures that safety and convenience are enhanced and efficiency improved through uncomplicated, speedy operation from ground level.

The Type 9 three-way tipper is a universal workhorse, reliably tackling a broad variety of transport tasks. Municipal authorities value it as a competent partner, as its flexibility enables them to meet numerous special demands. With a nominal load of 11.5 tonnes, particularly robust M-jet side panels (optionally available with Bordmatic and the Comfort Package) and a wear-resistant floor, bulk materials such as sand, gravel, excavated material or coal can be transported without difficulty. An interior width of 2.43 m means that euro-pallets can also be accommodated with ease where necessary. In combination with the well-known Meiller municipal service hydraulics, functionality can be expanded far beyond the reliable features of the three-way tipper. The attachment at the front enables the fitting of a snow blade or sweeper, while equipment such as a salt spreader can be mounted at the rear. Tailored solutions from Meiller enhance the flexibility of municipal authorities enormously, enabling versatile and complete exploitation of the vehicles they rely on all through the year.

Finally, Meiller will also unveil its new i.s.a.r.-control 3 remote system at the Summit. This new remote control generation combines familiar intuitive handling with the latest technology and an attractive design. Previously available control elements will be reduced in future and complemented by a display and joystick combination. All this ensures that operation is practical and even easier for the driver, as he exercises full control of all the functions of his Meiller tipper from a safe distance and with a clear view of the entire procedure. The new Meiller operating concept was not solely conceived for easier operation and reliable control of all superstructures. The intelligent networking of superstructure control with the tractor vehicle also contributes to fuel savings and lower pollution and noise emissions. The start/stop function and patented Meiller automatic speed control ensure that the engine only runs when work is actually being performed with the superstructure and the speed is lowered or increased, depending on the power required.
