Jungheinrich is launching two new series of robust electric forklift trucks worldwide. The new EFG forklifts are cost-effective entry-level models for classic transport and stacking tasks between 1.6 and 3 tonnes.

Jungheinrich is expanding its counterbalanced truck portfolio with two new EFG series in the entry-level segment. This means that from now on, in addition to its well-known high-performance electric forklifts, the company will also be offering its customers basic models for light to medium-duty applications for the first time. The trucks boast impressive performance, reliability and durability at low acquisition costs.

“With the EFG BB and BC series, we have succeeded in creating a new interpretation of quality that boasts impressive functionality, efficiency and an attractive price-performance ratio,” says Jungheinrich Chief Sales Officer Christian Erlach.

Designed for occasional use in single-shift operation, the trucks are primarily intended to appeal to customers who rely on proven Jungheinrich quality even in the entry-level segment. “With our new EFG series, we are deliberately targeting small and medium-sized companies and their particular needs: low acquisition costs, fast delivery times and solid basic equipment,” says Erlach.

Wide range of entry-level models
The EFG BB and BC series forklifts are available in 3 and 4-wheel versions and, with load capacities of up to three tonnes, they can be used across a wide range of sectors in production, trade, warehousing, workshops or agriculture. The model range covers the full spectrum of stacking and transport tasks.

The maneuverable EFG BB 216k three-wheel truck, for example, is particularly suitable for flexible handling in confined warehouse environments, thanks to its compact design. The EFG BC four-wheel forklifts are available with load capacities from 1.6 to 3.0 tonnes.

The EFG BC 325(k)/330 models in particular are the cost-effective alternative to vehicles in the 80V segment, thanks to their 48V battery equipment. They are also suitable for outdoor applications. Three different mast types in a large number of sizes and designs offer the right solution for all standard applications up to 6,500 mm lift height. The mast and sideshift work purely hydraulically and are controlled via mechanical operating levers. The use of simple attachments with selected optional equipment is possible.

High performance at low cost
The EFG BB and BC series trucks are manufactured at the Jungheinrich plant in Qingpu, China. The same quality standards apply to the production of the trucks as to the Jungheinrich performance series, which are built in Germany. “With the EFG BB and BC series trucks, our customers get Jungheinrich quality at an unbeatable price,” says Erlach.

The trucks of the EFG BB and BC series are equipped with wet-disc brakes as standard. Thanks to their enclosed design, the brakes are particularly resistant to dirt and thus guarantee high braking sensitivity with low maintenance requirements. Up to 30 percent of the energy is recovered during the braking process, significantly increasing the service life of the vehicles per battery cycle. A dual-motor front-wheel drive with ZF transmission enables high performance with low energy consumption in every application.

Sophisticated safety and ergonomics
The EFG BB and BC series are equipped with the Jungheinrich curveCONTROL safety system as standard, which automatically reduces the truck’s speed while cornering, depending on the steering angle. This significantly reduces the risk of accidents when cornering, especially when working with large loads. Five different travel modes allow safe operation, adapted to any warehouse situation. An arched protective canopy, compact mast profiles and optimized chain and hose routing ensure full all-around visibility for safe operation.

Standard equipment on the EFG BB and BC series includes the Jungheinrich display in its two-inch version. This informs the operator about battery status, remaining runtime and selected travel modes, and also provides selected safety instructions if required. The Grammer MSG 65 seat is available as an option for particularly ergonomic working conditions.

On the safe side even after purchase
Jungheinrich offers the electric forklift trucks of the BB and BC series as individual trucks and as a fleet, for purchase as well as for rent. To ensure trouble-free operation at all times, the comprehensive Jungheinrich forklift service portfolio is also available for the entry-level trucks. Customers can choose maintenance and service packages tailored to their individual needs. Thanks to the comprehensive Jungheinrich service network, Jungheinrich’s high spare parts availability also applies to the electric forklift trucks of the BB and BC series.
