Himoinsa designs a new concept of generator set for stationary applications

Himoinsa presents the new HS Stationary Range which has a modular and versatile design that incorporates all the features required to make it one of the most competitive products on the market for stationary applications. This is one of the new product developments that the company is working on in its constant project of innovation and continuous improvement.

The HS range is made up of generator set, from 10 to 50 kVA, at 50Hz and 60Hz. Three different canopy sizes are available to house the different models depending on their power.

The new design has pursued a clear objective; to develop a product adapted to the real needs of stationary applications while fully maintaining the product quality for which Himoinsa is renowned. To achieve this, the decision was taken to eliminate from the design any component that is not required for an emergency application, and top quality brands were selected for all components and accessories, in line with the Himoinsa quality standard.

The HS range is powered by Yanmar engines which are designed by Yanmar exclusively for the Himoinsa stationary range. As well as other quality components, Himoinsa has chosen to incorporate Stamford and Meccalte alternators, offering total operational reliability in emergency situations.

Their canopies guarantee high levels of anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation, thereby maintaining their best-in-class position in the market. These generator sets have been equipped to guarantee a fast and reliable response in, for example, the industrial, commercial and residential sectors, where electrical continuity in the event of any grid outage is essential.

Easy to install and maintain
The HS range has been designed to guarantee a user-friendly installation of the generator set. That is why it incorporates anchorage points for the installation of standardized hoist rings. It also features an extraction kit that facilitates the handling of the genset during checks, maintenance work, or the installation of the different fuel tanks without the need for a bridge crane. The lifting and extraction kits are optional, as are the lifting skids for forklifts.

The new design includes fully removable doors to provide full access to the interior of the machine to carry out maintenance and to clean the internal components; at the same time, this makes it possible to reduce the space required during the installation process when the generator set is located inside a room and/or a building.

Modularity & Functionality
This modular and versatile design incorporates different metal fuel tanks with varying capacities and running times. Customers can choose which fuel tank best suits their needs, and they can also upgrade it when the project requires it.

HS generator sets incorporate two distribution cable entries that provide easy connection and operation; a lower front entry that reduces the genset’s footprint and an alternative lower side entry to facilitate connections in accordance with the specifications and conditions of each installation. Both include a protective aluminum cover to prevent the entry of elements from the outside.

One version comes with a built-in ATS in the control panel which makes it easier to connect to the grid without the need to have an external ATS panel somewhere else in the room. Another version for external Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is also available with different control panel and power configurations depending on the needs of the installation.

The canopy features self-extinguishing polyurethane foam and high-density rock wool. Himoinsa have also worked hard to optimize the location and layout of the air intakes, thus mitigating the sound emissions and preventing water from entering the machine.
The HS range proposes a new silencer design that ensures comfortable sound emission levels in industrial environments and offers the possibility of installing a sound attenuation kit, depending on the project’s requirements.
