Kobelco excavators will be equipped with Engcon’s tiltrotators and automatic tilt function

The Japanese excavator manufacturer Kobelco has, together with Engcon and Leica Geosystems, developed a unique feature that provides automatic tilt function for Engcon’s tiltrotator in combination with automatic dipper, boom and bucket function. This means that the excavator and ICT system automatically provide the right height and tilt to the bucket. Something that dramatically increases the efficiency of Kobelco’s excavators.

“We are incredibly proud and happy to have participated in this project together with Kobelco and Leica Geosystems. I’m sure this is the beginning of something bigger in the industry,” says Krister Blomgren, CEO of Engcon Holding, who is in Japan for the announcement.

Kobelco announces that the SK200/SK210-10 will the first be manufactured model with this new ICT system and it begins to be delivered in Japan in the later part of 2018 and the other markets in 2019.
