EvoQuip for the first time at Bauma 2019

EvoQuip exhibited for the first time at Bauma, the world’s leading trade fair in the industry, showcasing the Cobra 290R—the newest addition to their ‘compact with impact’ crushing range. The Cobra 290R is a closed-circuit version of the Cobra 290 which incorporates a 2.74m x 1.5m post screen that ensures the required product specification is achieved with oversize material either being recirculated back to the crusher or stockpiled. The ability to quickly detach the complete afterscreen system including the oversize conveyor provides the option of either running the machine in standard mode or transporting separately.

Ease of use
The compact Cobra 290R closed circuit impact crusher is versatile, easy to use and has the ability to operate in the most demanding of applications making it the perfect solution for many industries. The track and crush feature comes as standard providing the operator the ability to move the machine using the optional remote control from the excavator cab without shutting down the crusher. Ground level access to the engine, hydraulics, service and refueling points also ensures ease of use and serviceability for the operator. The rapid set up from ground level combined with the intuitive two button start up sequence ensures the customer can be crushing in minutes.

Optimal material flow
The Cobra 290R uses a 315Hp engine to power the fuel-efficient and high performing direct drive system which gives potential throughput of up to 290 tph. The fully enclosed vibrating feeder incorporates an integrated pre-screen which can be configured to suit multiple applications by selecting from a range of interchangeable media. The chamber also features a hinged inlet lid which greatly reduces the risk of material bridging at the feed-in point. The Cobra 290R has two independent hydraulic controlled aprons which allow the operator to optimize the material throughput and reduction. The patented hydraulic overload protection system protects the crusher in the event of an uncrushable piece entering the chamber and minimizes apron bounce. The tip speed of the rotor can be varied depending on the application and product requirements.

Performance
Throughout the crushing process, the Cobra 290R constantly monitors the engine load and automatically regulates the feeder speed as required. The customer can choose between the full-length conveyor design and the vibrating underpan feeder which provides complete belt protection in heavy-duty recycling applications. The afterscreen system incorporates an aggressive 9’ x 5’ single deck screen providing a sized end product with the slewing conveyor giving the benefit of recirculating or stockpiling. The hinged radiator pack and hinged diesel tank along with the ability to quickly remove the product conveyor for major maintenance are features designed with the operator in mind. The standard Cobra 290 has the option of being ordered afterscreen ready to facilitate retrofit at a later date.
