To help operators perform at the highest level, Hyster Europe has launched a new ergonomic cab and controls for its Big Truck range. The efficient, cockpit-style design positions all truck information and controls within easy reach and is packed with productivity-enhancing features.

Here’s what to expect from the innovative Hyster® Big Truck updates:
Intelligent, user-friendly technology
By using the seven-inch integrated performance display, operators can access key information and even run diagnostics and view truck performance, all without connecting a computer. The new cab also features a unique and standard control arm that makes hydraulic operation easier than ever and the touchpoint mini levers work in tandem with the display to bring all functions within easy each. To reduce the risk of distraction, the intelligent interface automatically dims in low light situations, and the control arm panels all have backlight options so operators do not fumble for the right switch in the dark.

Industry-exclusive ergonomics
With industry-leading cabin door width and generous height for easy entry and exit, the new cab prioritizes ergonomics from the very beginning. The adjustable steer column uses a unique foot pedal design that allows operators to keep hands on the wheel while finding the right position. The industry-exclusive lateral seat slider also allows operators to find the ideal operating position and even make room to accommodate an extra seat for trainers to supervise performance. The trucks also offer maintenance-friendly features, like LED lights on broken fuses to save time on troubleshooting and replacement, and unique wear pads that allow smoother fork repositioning and wear more evenly than roller designs.

Improved front and rear visibility
To boost front and rear visibility, the new cabin features exclusive one-piece curved glass. Helping to keep the overhead visibility clear, the top glass is scratch resistant and is the largest length in the industry. The redesigned mast and carriage further improve visibility of fork tips at ground level, with modified lift chains, inner channel, and carriages providing a wider window of view.
