BKT has announced an important order in the OTR sector, with the supply of 42 giant EARTHMAX SR 468 tires, in the 40.00 R 57 size, to SECL (South Eastern Coalfields Ltd.). This is a mining company owned by the Indian Government’s Ministry of Coal. The first batch of 6 tires made for SECL has already been shipped, while the further 2 batches will reach the customer within a week.

This is an important milestone that consolidates BKT’s positioning in the mining sector, confirming the Group as a key player in the OTR industry.

EARTHMAX SR 468 is the 57″ tire – the largest ever made by BKT – manufactured at the BKT plant in Bhuj, India, and designed to equip rigid dump trucks operating in the most hostile conditions.

This huge tire is characterized by being particularly resistant to attacks and punctures, thanks to the All Steel structure and it is, therefore, suitable, for rough and muddy terrain. Winning features of the EARTHMAX SR 468 are the special tread design and its compound, both created to limit the heat generated. The E-4 tread depth provides extreme resistance in highly challenging conditions.
