Manitou Compact Equipment introduced as a preview at Bauma China

Manitou Group, a world leader in rough-terrain handling, showcased new material handling and construction equipment at the Bauma China show. These include AWPs, telehandlers and a preview of a new Compact Equipment range, all of which are specifically dedicated to the Chinese market.

Since 2016, construction market in China has revived a comfortable growth. To support it, Manitou Group provides a wide range of new solutions in order to meet demand. These include the new Manitou Compact Equipment range comprising of the Manitou track loader 2100 RT and the Manitou backhoe loader 818 S, which will be launched during 2019’s first quarter, as well as the advanced model for skid-steer loaders. Billy Wang, Managing Director for Manitou China commented: “We are very proud to present the new Manitou Compact Equipment range for the first time in China. We will consolidate our compact equipment solutions with these products and solidify our market presence in the compact loaders segment. We strongly believe that the proven performance of these type of equipments will make these an exciting and reliable new offering in China.”

In addition to the new Manitou Compact Equipment range, Manitou Group exhibited the Gehl V420 for the first time in Asia. This skid-steer is the largest of the market, and replaces the V400. With a loading capacity of up to 1,9 t and a performance hydraulic high flow of 155l/m, the Gehl V420 is the ideal equipment for heavy-duty applications such as road building and maintenance.

In expectation of significant growth opportunities in the AWP market, Manitou Group also presented their most globally sought-after lift products. Billy Wang further commented: “In meeting the demands of the rental market for other product ranges, we are pleased to present our electric vertical 100 VJR and diesel engine articulated boom lift Man’Go 12 which would complement mainstream machines such as straight boom lifts.”

Telehandler is always a top priority for Manitou Group. Three models MRT-X 2545 E, MT-X 1840 A and the MT-X 625 were exhibited on the booth with a wide range of attachments that allow for broad solutions to the China market. As the main manufacturer offering telehandlers in China, Manitou has ambitious objectives and intends to increase investments over the coming years to develop this market segment as it expands its presence across China and the Asian region.
