A completely new crane series from HMF in the 6 – 9 t range

A common characteristic of all the HMF cranes in this series is the unrivalled power-to-weight ratio, which provides maximum utilization of the vehicle payload and at the same time, the cranes have a particularly high lifting capacity. The MC and MCS versions are manually operated and the RC and RCS versions are radio remote controlled.

The cranes are optimized by the HMF single Power Plus link arm system and a genuine over-bending of 15°, which combined with the main boom that can be raised into 90°, offer maximum lifting capacity in the entire working area – both at long reach, in high positions and close to the column. Even though all the cranes have a reach exceeding 11 m, they have a very compact design – in particular the minimum space requirements – down to 66 cm including two extra valves routed to the end of the extensions and widths of 2.1 m and 2.2 m respectively. The very compact dimensions compared to the very low tare weight makes it easy to fit the cranes onto even small vehicles.
The hydraulic hoses of the crane are fed inside the column and are therefore particularly well protected from wear, sunlight and other mechanical stress. Stabilizer hoses on smaller cranes are often exposed to particularly harsh working conditions, and therefore also stabilizer hoses are fed internally in all stabilizer beams.

The cranes are designed with double cross beam (two beams parallel to each other on the base) which allows for a large and efficient stabilizer spread on the crane. The cranes are available with stabilizer spreads of 3.4 m, 4.4 m or 5.2 m. The hydraulic stabilizer leg is fitted on a manually or hydraulically (option) extensible stabilizer beam. The stabilizer beams with a spread of 4.4 m and 5.2 m are available as hydraulically extensible.
The crane series is available with HMF’s well known RCL 5300 Safety System, with a large number of solutions for monitoring safety. Generally for all HMF safety systems is that they ensure efficient monitoring of all movements so that the operator is protected, the vehicle remains stable and the crane is working within the permissible loads at any time. The EVS stability monitoring system, which actively monitors the stability of the vehicle during crane operation, should be especially highlighted. The operator’s working area is considerably increased at the same time.
