Scania Stage V product range and construction industry solutions at Intermat 2018

Scania showcased an extensive array of products at this year’s Intermat trade show in Paris. With its unique modular approach, Scania is able to offer tailored solutions that meet all the needs and challenges of the construction industry, not least in terms of the industry’s growing need to provide sustainable solutions for their customers.

For the first time, Scania showcased the complete Stage V-compliant engine range for industry and power generation applications. The range includes the tried and tested 9-litre 5-cylinder, 13-liter 6-cylinder, and 16-liter V8 engines, featuring output ranges from 202 kW to 566 kW. Scania engines are characterized by the generous torque they provide at low revs, as well as their prompt response, low fuel consumption, low life-cycle costs, high power-to-weight ratio and tried and tested quality.

Visitors to the stand were able to take a closer look at Scania’s highly acclaimed new generation trucks tailored for the construction industry, including a P 410 8×4 XT concrete mixer, a G 450 8×4 XT tipper and a gas-powered G 410 8×4*4.
Operators in the construction industry normally form part of a larger process and crucially must avoid disruptions. Thus, in addition to ensuring its products are tough and durable, Scania has created an entire ecosystem of services that ensure uninterrupted deliveries while improving customers’ profitability.

The products share components, parts and service, thus ensuring high availability and access to fast and reliable service from close to 2,000 Scania service points worldwide.
